Crepe Dyeing

Is the crepe pleated gauze? What material is crepe? Conceptually, crepe is a thin plain cotton fabric with even wrinkles in the fabric, or crepe. The crepe has a nice and soft feel, with good zonal elasticity. Most of the yarns used in the fabric are under 14.6, while the yarns used in the gauze crepe are mostly 40 pure cotton yarns, soft and light in texture, with a variety of plain colors, yarn-dyed, bleached and printed.

Gauze and crepe are both common textile materials, but many people confuse crepe with gauze, and there are some differences. Crepe, also known as crepe, is a plain fabric made of cotton, which can be divided into three types of crepe by the number of layers: single layer, double layer and triple layer.

Product Features

The warp of crepe is mostly plain cotton, while the weft is a strong, shaped yarn. After woven into grey fabric, it needs to be treated with wool burning, desizing, boiling, bleaching, drying, etc. Many processing links make the fabric subjected to hot water or hot lye for a certain period of time, and the zonal shrinkage (about 30%) forms a comprehensive and uniform fold pattern. Then it is dyed or printed according to the demand, and sometimes resin finishing is carried out. In the weaving process, the fabric can also be creased by corrugations before shrinking, and then treated with loose pretreatment and dyeing, so as to make the wrinkles on the fabric more detailed, uniform and regular, and thus make the crepe fabric with various thickness and fine straight wrinkles. In addition, the weft direction can be woven alternately between strong yarn and ordinary yarn to make crepe with herringbone folds.
